Roll-call for JC test #1 at noon (judge Steven Artley). 1 pm: JC test #2 (judge Carol Artley). 2 pm AKC QC test * and ASFA certification test (can be done in one run). Early Entry fee $10 per JC test, or per QC test. $12 Day of Test entry fee per JC test or per QC test. You are responsible for having a "test dog" to run with your novice dog for the QC test. If you have never lure coursed your dog before, you should practice your novice dog first, before trying the JC or QC tests. Note that there will be no JC tests offered at our May trials and very limited QC runs. If you want a JC title on your dog, and/or need a QC (your dog has never been entered in the Open stake), we encourage you to come to this event.
* Effective 1 January 2010, a dog must earn the "QC" before he can be entered in an AKC trial for the first time, or already have earned a Field Championship from ASFA or from the Canadian Kennel Club. To earn the Qualified Courser certificate, a hound at least 12 months of age (Qualifying Hound) running with another hound of the same breed, or another breed with a similar running style, shall receive certification from a licensed AKC coursing judge. The hound must complete the course with enthusiasm and without interruption, sufficiently course the lure and not course the Testing Hound.
