Maverick went to his first show and won a 4 point major from the 12-18 month class.  Maverick went to his second show February 10, 2007 and won a 3 point major.  Maverick  finished August 18, 2007.  He won the points at the majority of the shows he was at.  He was always owner handled by KC.   

First weekend out as a special, Maverick won Best Opposite Sex, over 31 males, at the Midwest Borzoi Club Specialty November 17, 2007, owner handled.  The next couple of years, we competed in performance events, finishing the AKC and ASFA field championships, two rally titles, and the obedience Beginners-Novice (BN) title.

At the 2011 BCOA National Specialty, Maverick, competed in the triathlon, winning 4th place.  He also made 2 cuts in the Best of Breed class.  August 12, 2011, Maverick wins Select Dog for 3 Grand Champion points.  The next day, he wins Best of Breed at the Midwest Borzoi Club Specialty and a Group IV.   On 9-24-2011, Maverick earned his 10th title, the CD.  Maverick has 15 Grand Champion (GCH) points, including 3 majors.  In 2012, we hope to finish his GCH, plus we are training him to compete for a Rally Excellent title.  At the January 2012 MBC Specialty, Maverick won an Award of Merit, owner handled.
