Charcoal was a tall elegant dog, nearly 33" tall and a hundred pounds.  He had a long lean head, full dentition and kept a scissors bite all his life.  He was slow maturing.   As a four year old, he went on a winning streak and finished.  He could have had a nice career as a special, but was overshadowed by his brother Tom, and then by Tom's sons.  Charcoal lived to be almost 11.

Charcoal sired one litter, a single puppy, FC Windrift Tahoe Solo Flight JC SC.

His son:  FC Windrift Tahoe Solo Flight JC SC.  The dam was CH Windrift Freckle Face SC FCH, and the breeders were Jon & Nancy Reimer.  Solo won the 6-9 month dog futurity class at the 1994 BCOA specialty.  Solo loved lure coursing and quickly finished his AKC field championship.  Solo had nearly finished his ASFA title, when a foot injury ended Solo's lure coursing & show career.
